Anyone seen any works commenced in the area?
No noticeable work around the area. I am thinking this is a good thing to not have started yet cause we may get something better than FTTN with the election coming up
Seen them pulling cable in Yellow Rock Rd and Thursday in Queen St Warrilla
Thanks guys, yeah saw them on Lake Entrance Rd Warilla near the old cop shop but haven't noticed anything in AP or APR as of yet.
Anyone seen any work recently in AP?
I noticed a node getting built in Albion Park Rail near Aldi last week on the corner of Boronia Ave & Maple St. Pipes coming out of the ground, a trench had been dug to the pillar and a pit half way along with NBN on the lids.
There is nothing on the NBN website or NBN Finder (ex myNBN.info) about 2ABN being in build stage.

If they are putting down nodes and concrete plinths for nodes then I am going to guess that parts of Albion Park will pop up as build commenced on NBNCos website when it updates at the end of the week or early next week, usually construction will commence the month before announcement on the website.
My father got something in his letter box saying that the NBN was coming soon (lives in APR). It was just before the election and though it was someone playing games... but maybe not!
And Albion Park is now on the rollout maps
Yay. Finally. We seemed to have skipped straight over build prep (green map). I'm happy with that.

I dont think NBNCo are indicating brownfield areas in Build Preparation any more, only in greenfield areas. New brownfield areas go straight to Build Commenced.
Ah, fair enough. I'm just happy that we are finally on the map
Build commenced. Now the long wait!
Node concrete pored in Teatree and Oak Street, and Boronia Avenue
Saw them running green cables along Station Rd, APR on Tuesday. Also saw some visionstream workers checking pits on Burdekin Dr AP same day, not sure if related though?
Laying green cable Oak Street APR. NBN bosses inspecting pits AP Public School
This was recently spray painted on top of the pit a couple doors down which is right next to a bullet. There's also markings on the next pit along around the corner with far more info and some spray paint markings on the grass near the both of them. This is in Daintree drive by the way. I also saw them pulling the yellow tubing/pipe through back in December so it's well under way.
Cabinets have gone up in APR on Boronia Ave, Ti Tree Ave, and Oak St towards Croome Rd. There looks like another may go in on Oak St near Ash Ave.

Just around the corner from me too. :D
Anyone seen any recent work in Albion Park? Plenty happening in Albion Park Rail but haven't spotted any works in Albion Park yet.

I haven't seen any works start yet. Pleanty of ground markings though.
How many metres you reckon you are from the node?
I'm in a cauldersac, so I don't know which way exactly my line goes, but I'm either approx. 320m or 500m to the node. The pillar is about 40m further away from the node.
Ah yup. I wish they'd made the data readily available to see which way the copper runs.
Woops
Node box installed today in Warrego opp the preschool & just down from the pillar. My adsl wouldn't connect for most of the day but is back now.

Nice. I drove past that one earlier today and saw the guys working on that.
No idea why your ADSL would be down though. When the one on the corner of Daintree & Gloucester went in, my ADSL was fine as far as I know. To my knowledge, they are not actually connecting to the existing network yet, so something else may have happened, or they had to disconnect some lines for some reason.

Yeah, not sure if it was a coincidence or not. The ADSL appeared to have sync but just wasn't connecting.
By the afternoon http://servicestatus.telstra.com/ was showing

Being that it goes for several days, I wouldn't be suprised if it's just to cover some of the NBN build work going on in the area, and any possible brief outages while they install things.
Node going in on Burdekin western end opposite pre-school. Hopefully they'll put another near the eastern end on Burdekin.

Near the RIM cabinet?
Hopefully they'll put another near the eastern end on Burdekin.
They'd almost have to wouldn't they? Probably too big an area otherwise. I used to live in Grey st and got almost 20mbps down (when it wasn't congested) so there must have been a RIM closer than the far end of Burdekin, but I'm not sure where.

If the RIM is the big green thing built a few years ago, then yup :)

I'm in near grey st and I get 16mbps pretty must always, so I think your right about having one closer, but i've driven around and couldn't locate one *shrugs*
There is another green cabinet on the corner of Ashburton and Gascoyne St. It's easy to miss driving past it, as it's in amongst the trees and bushes between the bridge on Ashburton and Gascoyne St. I don't know if there are any other cabinets around. I'm sure there are as it's a pretty large area.
If I am looking at the correct doc, looks like there may have been am improvement on some of the dates
These schedules are current as at 16 September 2016
2ABN-01 Albion Park Rail,Haywards Bay NSW Nowra-Bomaderry 2 CSA 23-Dec-2016
2ABN-02 Albion Park NSW Nowra-Bomaderry 2 CSA 27-Jan-2017
2ABN-03 Albion Park NSW Nowra-Bomaderry 2 CSA 16-Dec-2016
2ABN-04 Albion Park NSW Nowra-Bomaderry 2 CSA 03-Feb-2017
Being in 2ABN-02 and getting a sync speed of 3900KBps I am happy to see that they are ahead of schedule.
I saw some work simultaneously happening on the node that was put up on Pollock and the pillar a couple hundred metres away on Tongarra Rd, considering that will be the node I will be on I was pretty happy.
Are these dates the dates that the nbn will be ready ?

They are the expected RFS date. This can change weekly when they are updated.
Thanks
