AYCA-EG4QF Jun-2013: Half Moon (Stage 1)
With regards to this, as it's a brownfield site, does that mean it's not physically connected so it's just a case of waiting for the main 'trunk' to catch on?
I only ask because I'm about 1km from that estate! Not that that might mean anything in the greater scheme of things.
Trinity Beach

Hi Slim Bim Jim,
NBN Co plan to roll out Brownfields Fibre to Trinity Beach and Greenfields Fibre to the Half Moon (Stage 1) development.
Initially, Half Moon (Stage 1) will most likely connect to a Temporary FAN which will be connected to the Brisbane Interim POI.
Trinity Beach will connect to a FAN which will be connected to the Cairns Permanent POI (NBN Co expect to commission the POI later this year).
Thanks, Aaron
Very exciting new Aaron thank you!
I didn't think it would be so soon so I signed up for a 24 month contract for business ADSL with Telstra but they say they include an NBN upgrade path so I'll be holding them to that!
I didn't think it would be so soon so I signed up for a 24 month contract for business ADSL
Hi Slim Bim Jim,
According to the NBN Rollout Map, NBN Co expect construction to commence in Trinity Beach during the period September 2014 to June 2015.
Construction to commence within three years we will commence construction from Sep 2014 in phases with last construction scheduled to commence in Jun 2015*.
If we add the expected average of twelve months to complete a Rollout Region, we can make a guess that Trinity Beach will be Ready For Service sometime during the period September 2015 to June 2016.
Your current ADSL contract only takes you up to November 2014 so you probably don't have to worry about breaking it.
Thanks, Aaron

Woohoo ... Redlynch, good news for me!
So far, not so good
Techs working out on McLeod St have cut phone lines into one of our businesses, and cut the SHDSL line into the other.
120 staff sitting around with nothing to do
Edit: just an update, you apparently need to lodge individual faults with the service providers, so far im up to call number 3, covering 7 services
In Cairns North rollout how come there are two different rollout months Aug. and Nov.?.
If you look at the rollout map, you can see where "Cairns North" gets split

Thanks looks like we've missed out x just one cross street (50m).
I see lots of new markings on the road like +0.4 and +0.5 etc. not sure if this has anything to do with NBN?.
Lots of Survey work out front of our building too of late.

I do hope you are correct. It does say North Cairns, but looks like not all of it.

I live in Bungalow so looks like September for me...not to bad considering I just moved here and I get the full 2.4 meg can't complain with that :) still NBN will be very nice!
Can anyone tell me if Blacks Road, Mareeba (wireless) is available to the public ?
I'm getting it installed on Wednesday on McLeod Street. [100/40 plan]
I shall report back as soon it's up and running.
on McLeod Street.
WTF? Which end (be vague if necessary).
I'm near Central and the latest update I have is "awaiting augmentation" ... WTF is that shit?
The northern end, near to grove street.
I'm near Central and the latest update I have is "awaiting augmentation" ... WTF is that shit?
I'm not sure what "awaiting augmentation" means officially but I'm picturing several guys leaning on shovels looking down on another guy in a pit who's rolling a durry with a name tag on his shirt saying 'John Augmentation'.
If your in a large block of apartments maybe there is some complications with group infrastructure installation?
There was a defect, but the defect was rectified (and confirmed by the NBNCo MDU team as complete) at the beginning of this month ... not withstanding the fact it took them 6 months for them to even realise there was a defect that needed repairing, while everyone in the complex twiddled their thumbs not knowing what the hell was going on. It took me moving in and getting on NBNCo's ass for anyone to wake up and go "Oohhh, hmmm, yeah, there's a note here ...".
Let's not forget this is the city exchange, it was the first one to be fitted and cabled for NBN, yet all the other exchanges (Portsmith, North Cairns, Manunda, etc) are all most likely to come on line long before this one will ... it's a complete joke.
And yeah, when I head the official word "awaiting augmentation" I actually said back to the girl "So we're waiting for a left handed screwdriver?" she had no idea what I meant, I had to explain to her what a diversionary tactic was, and how the left handed screwdriver fitted in with that concept.
Can anyone tell me if Blacks Road, Mareeba (wireless) is available to the public ?
They were working on the Mareeba tower at the beginning of the year. Techs talking to locals in Millaa said wireless switch on in July. Maybe they will not switch on piecemeal but wait for a political announcement covering Mt Molloy, Mareeba, Atherton and Millaa? Anyone else have an update on Tablelands Fixed Wireless??
that "awaiting augmentation" crap you got told must people something they speel to everyone my old man in townsville with his MDU got the same thing said to him
Good Morning xxxxxxxxx,
Thank you for your contact with NBNCo concerning the NBN connection to this property and your time last month to discuss this.
I have raised the patter of a connection date for your property with various involved groups within NBNCo.
The property above was cabled in full as at 15 April 2014 and confirmed complete by our cabling partner at that time.
In order to provide full service to the dwellings included in the propertys footprint however, further testing and augmentation of the NBN network is required. This is the stage xxxxxxxx is currently at.
As of todays date, this address is not serviceable for the NBN. At this time there is no confirmed date by which this will be serviceable. To ensure that existing connections (via copper) are maintained where these exist, the serviceability status is marked against the property to ensure continuity of connection for the various owners and occupiers of these buildings.
I have administratively closed the matter as there is no further answer available as of todays date however I will continue to update you monthly as to the progression of providing service at this address.
Should you require any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me directly on the details below.
Finally got 100/40 with node the other day in Portsmith, its fast =|
Having a usable upload speed for the first time is pretty handy.

Grats!
The wait is killing me, no matter who I call no one knows what the hell is going on with the block of units that I live in...one of these days
"awaiting augmentation"
MEANS THAT THE INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE PITS NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED TO MEET YOUR mduS NEEDS
ooPS SORRY FOR SHOUTING! (caps lock on)
So, for example, a 48 unit complex has been built over 2-3 lots which originally had Telstra 2 pair going in to it so when they were hauling the Pit and Pipe infrastructure the pit servicing the 48 unit block was only designed for say 3 premises and a small Multiport was installed.
Then someone (a surveyor for example spots the difference between the Telstra address and the new Apt block address and tells NBNCo that they need a larger connection.
The MDU design and install can still go ahead but the design will have "Augmentation required" on it.
This makes no difference to us as installers, as we will cable the building anyway.
(We have just finished a 48 apt block which "requires augmentation" fully tested and ready to go.)
I call no one knows what the hell is going on with the block of units that I live in..
Sorry mate, that building still has not been surveyed. Have you spoken to the Body Corp?
I am going to PM you the units in that street that have been done, it will make you cry!
We're looking at Corporate Tower on Lake Street early next year. Any news on that?
Corporate Tower was surveyed this week.

Last time I called they just said that no one has approached them about that address yet...I have no idea how to get this happening....very annoying
haha please don't it will only make it worse :p
So I called NBN again this morning...they told me to call Body Corporate...BC then said that someone inspected my apartment block in January but they haven't heard since or have "any plans" I think i'm just going to try and forget about it...if I get notified great...pretty disappointing though :(
Corporate Tower was surveyed this week.
I heard that Shangri-La and the Pier were also surveyed. NBN should be fully ready to roll by January 2015! :)

At least your are still in the footprint. I live out the beaches and have been saving cut-offs of cable to splice it all together all the way from North Cairns, lol

Me too... It's frustrating knowing that some upmarket building site is getting it (Half Moon Bay) and it's not coming to anyone near to them.
We are in shock... multi-year shock. waiting for our fibre, you see....
Just to let you know CAI-05 is active and you can order a service.
Tried to this morning but NBNCo has apparently not told the ISPs it's live yet. 2 years on Telstra 4G Wireless because we can't get ADSL.. so the end is near!! Hooray!
Just checking in for another monthly winge....grey box has been on the apartment wall for over 4 months now. Still no NBN :(

Just gotta be patient, it will be well worth it... far more than the 'faster, cheaper, sooner' bs lib alternative.
I see NZ is rolling out gigabit plans in May... Probably won't see that here until change in government.

Yeh i'm grateful that i'm one of the lucky ones but it's damn hard waiting...haha
Gigabit plans in Oz? hahaha can't wait for $1000 a month
Still no NBN :(
Hopefully for you, you're in one of the Telstra upcoming disconnection areas, that forces NBN to get moving quicker, and get it all installed before the copper cut off. Currently happening for a lot of premises on 4CAI-01

Yes i know, but it does help NBN Co to get things moving quicker, trust me ;)
Yeesh... I ordered my service just now and the closest appointment was 1 month from now :(
Yeesh... I ordered my service just now and the closest appointment was 1 month from now :(
Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be a "non standard" install, or they will walk away and you wait another month... To quote a local installer "This is non standard and requires ladders and stuff that we don't have, another crew does these installs"...
Update:
Can finally place an order! wooooo but the next available appointment is 19th May...still over the moon
So now I keep getting phonecalls telling me that my copper is being disconnected (manunda), what's the expected disconnect date?
18months from when your fsam is activated
I wish they'd start in Mooroobool already!
who here knows whats going on with rollout in cairns? mofo??
im on the edge of the purple and brown area, fibre was pulled through the pits over 6 months ago now, a few weeks ago my neighbours had their boxes installed to their units, I havent heard anything.
being on the brown part of the rollout map, is anyone in this area active with NBN yet? I called up NBN the other week and they said the entire area had to be completed before it was switched on.
I don't know what to believe.
I live in a multidwelling complex where they cant just put a box outside our front door, they have to put some large rack in the communications room.
who can give me more info on this and the length of time we would be waiting for this setup to get active?
Guys do what i did, i got sick of waiting for NBN in North cairns so i bought a house in bungalow and moved there.
83.46 Mb/s 31.42 Mb/s haha
Im with Activ8me 100/40 500gig plan for $75/mnth.
I downloaded a game on Steam at 10-11MB/sec. I can actually watch vids on youtube now, couldnt in N Cairns connecting at 3Mbit adsl2.

Sorry if I mislead you, but I only used the house numbers to indicate which end of (the very long) Timberlea Drive I was referring to.
I am quite close to the Roderick St node, and when I enter my details into the locator, I get basically the same info that you have posted except that the SAM is 4EDM-02.
Is that an indication that the main cable may be coming from the Walker Rd end?
There's no sign of any cable yet...
NBN work happening in front of Jax Tyres Mulgrave Road.
Yeah there is a eucalyptus green FTTN cabinet there, also saw a node out the front of the Edmonton Telstra exchange next to the DA torpedo.
Guy I spoke to said "it's all happening" whatever that means.
Base for the new node has been concreted in at the RIM cluster just shy of Cooktown Road (past Sugarworld, Edmonton), and as you pass Sugarworld, you can see a big old roll of what looks like fibre with a couple of slabs of concrete sitting on top of it and a Telstra yellow safety fence around it.
Not really surprising I guess, RIM's are easy wins (already effectively a type of FTTN, if you aren't with Telstra you're landlocked to ADSL1 max so even 25 Mbps seems luxurious, and most of that area has had the copper in the ground for less than 15 years, substantially less in some cases).
Definitely looks like they're ploughing on at full speed for whatever that's worth.
Got really excited to actually see some more NBN work going on here so jumped in the car and went for a look and took a pic..

Yup, that's the spot. They haven't started on the tophat RIM back towards Sugarworld, but there is significant work going on in Cooktown as well (first right past Spider Street), with a large area cordoned off with those yellow fences.
One might almost think an election was imminent. /grin
I can't help but wonder how they could think that going with copper-based services in the Wet Tropics is really a good idea.
4EDG01 ready for service Dec 2. 2015.
Um so why is it not? Edge hill user here who has had 0 internet for almost 12 months because they pulled out the copper lines and refused to re-instal so I could get ADSL.
This is terribly poor, I live 5km from the CBD of a city.
Been in many third world countries with better. Been terribly patient. Either update your ETA or turn it bloody on!!
The Roderick St node looks like it is finished.
There's the cabinet, a '0' (small) pit and what looks like a No 4 pit, but that is next to the small green electric house distribution box, so I guess it's electricity.
The really big news is that they are laying green cable on Walker Road, outside the Isabella primary school. Last week they were on the other side of the road, but right now, they are on the medium strip, between the school crossing and the front car park.
I can't help but wonder how they could think that going with copper-based services in the Wet Tropics is really a good idea.
I've been on copper to the RIM since ~2005 and I've never had a service interruption due to water interference with the cables. And despite being relatively high in Edmonton, there have been points when the ground has been absolutely waterlogged if not inundated.
I'm not saying anything about superiority of one solution over another or starting arguments based on partisan opinions, just out and out saying that some of the problems are overblown.
eg. The area I live in has all power routed underground using copper. If copper + underground +wet were such an issue, surely the power would be dropping out all the time as well? \= ) It all comes down to the quality of the installation and materials used (which is an unknown at this point), not just copper + wet = end of story.
There is a lot of activity in our little area this morning.
There is a crew working at the Telstra (torpedo) pillar in Timberlea Drive east.
There are 6 Tracson vehicles parked around the Roderick Street node.
At the pit, opposite the bus stop in Timberlea drive, there is a crew with a small drum of green cable.
Just across the Walker St roundabout, on the Silkwood Ridge side, there are 2 Telstra crews working in pits.
However, there is still no update when I enter my address at the NBN site....
Saw that too. Some good work going down Charnley Ave. One green cabinet installed just before Bundey St. Looks like they might have made their way down Bundey st today. Only one street away from me come on!! Lol
I'd hazard a guess that they'll complete cabinet and backhaul infrastructure prior to opening it up for transfers.
That being said, cabinets are springing up like crazy around Orchid Glen (the estate behind Sugar World in Edmonton).
WOOT myNBN is now showing, after all these months, build start date for Bayview Heights as 15th January 2016, I'M EXCITED. :)

great, another 18-24 months you'll get a connection.

The NBN site has now been updated:

Sorry if I sound cynical, but 2016 is an election year, and those NBN (spin) commercials on TV seem to be increasing.
I will be reasonably happy to get FTTN next year, but I do remember that under Labor's FTTP, construction would have commenced in this area in Feb 2014.
Then we got Turnballized...
Sorry if I sound cynical, but 2016 is an election year, and those NBN (spin) commercials on TV seem to be increasing.
I noted in one of my earlier posts 'One might almost think an election is coming' or words to that effect... ; )

Yes, and under Labor's FTTN plan way back in 07'ish, Australia was supposed to be completely done and dusted by 2012.
Gee shucks, politicians suck at major high tech infrastructure projects, who'da thunk it... =)
ps. Usual disclaimer, both parties have tarnished what should have been a cooperative and unilaterally supported project.
I've seen what looks like a node installation on the corner of Robert St & Logan St (Atherton
That's the one. Same crew that did the install at the end of my street in Yungaburra!
That's the only one that i've seen though. Might go for a bit of a drive tomorrow arvo and start pin pointing a few. It's a pity there aren't really any serious maps around.. Thinking about throwing them on google maps once i have a list.
From what I have found, Atherton, Tolga and Yungaburra are the only brownfields "in build" on the tableland at this stage.. They are expected Ready for service Q3 & Q4 2016.
Kuranda Bulid- Q3 2016 RFS- H1 2017
Malanda Build- Q1 2017 RFS- H2 2017
Mareeba Build- H1 & H2 2017 RFS- H1 2018
Ravenshoe Build Q4 2016 RFS- H2 2017
source:
https://delimiter.co
I saw that list but also guessing everything will be pretty slow as they have had issues getting power to nodes. Also expecting NBNCo to be a lil slow releasing build info out to us.
I'm actually thinking it might be an idea to separate this discussion and have Tablelands on its own as there is going to be a more on the Tablelands in the coming months.
That's probably a good idea, as long as people remember that there is no separate POI for the Tablelands.
Mareeba and Kuranda are connected to 4CAI Cairns.
However Malanda, Atherton, Yungaburra and Ravenshoe are connected to 4TNS Townsville.
Hi,
Just read some of this thread and saw that fibre is coming to Malanda?!? What?!!!
They just finished installing a large Fixed Wireless Tower (right next to Optus' tower) in Malanda, why would they now be rolling out Fibre?
Any news on whether this fibre will be rolled out Butchers Creek or even Topaz? The Butchers Creek exchange is apparently so old, its "mechanical". Hardly get landline on it, let alone dial-up. Currently on mobile broadband.
Even if Butchers Creek/Topaz don't get fibre, I pray that we get at least Fixed Wireless! I really don't know why nbn keeps people in the dark.

Hi Josh007,
Enter your address here:
http://www.finder.com.au/nbn-tracker
to see if there is any further info...
Yup Malanda township ( http://www.finder.com.au/nbn-tracker/sa/4MDA ) is set for FTTN next year and the rest is wireless.... Topaz and those areas are apparently already live with wireless, i think there is only one more tower to go out there which is the southern end of the township (prolly the tower you're talking about).
im on the edge of cairns city, im starting to think I will be the last to get NBN even though my area is active, I cant get it, all I get from the NBN is a stupid generic reply saying further cabling is needed and wait.
Topaz and those areas are apparently already live with wireless
No, unlucky Topaz has zilch. I don't even thin NBN knows it exists! There's several hundred people out here!
Hi Josh007,
Enter your address here:
http://www.finder.com.au/nbn-tracker
Thanks for the link. Says the same as NBN, that "Sky Muster is coming".
Sky Muster is OK (better than nothing), but its more expensive than Fixed Wireless.
What drives me up the wall is that one (1!) house in Topaz can get fixed wireless, but the rest of us aren't in the "coverage area"!
That house happens to be owned by the town/village fire warden (who is a nice guy, BTW), so that proves to me that its not coverage, its preference.
I don't even thin NBN knows it exists!
im starting to think the NBN don't know anything exists, they even said in their generic email sent to me today that I will be contacted once the build for my building starts and approved by the body corporate and the cabling will be done.
like geeeez, the build has been finished and signed off by the NBN 6 weeks ago now, waiting for the idiots to flick the switch to make it live or push the button on the computer what ever they do. cant be that hard surely, my setup communicated with the exchange and everything. what else needs to be done to make my FTTB setup active??
I once waited about 8 months after it was installed for Optus to turn on 4G+ in Malanda. I think they installed 4G, was about to turn it on, then realized they should have installed 4G+. Idiots.
I want to know what happens to the satellites once they fill up? Geeez, SkyMesh said they had 8,000 people submit an application in the first 6 days after applications opened!
I will be contacted once the build for my building starts
Don't trust anything they say, seriously. I saw on the news a few weeks ago, NBN told this single mother that NBN Fibre "wasn't in her area", yet her neighbor across the street just had his turned on! It sounds like Telstra, not the company in charge of rolling out a 70 billion dollar broadband network!

I know, this is what is worrying me, the entire nation is getting fibre, it is reminding me of Telstra, a bunch of idiots behind a computer with prewritten scripts they either read out over the phone or copy and paste in emails and put no thought into whatsoever, what is this country in for with the NBN? and I thought helstra were bad, are these clowns called the NBN going to give helstra a run for their money and take out the Guinness book of records for biggest idiots in the world??
It'll be a fierce competition for that record. Ha ha.
I'm going to live 20 minutes away from fibre, yet I'm getting satellite? If the small town of Malanda is getting fibre, the least they can do is give Fixed Wireless to Topaz, Butchers Creek, and Glen Allyn.
All they need is a Fixed Wireless tower on Lammins Hill; instant coverage for Topaz, Butchers Creek, and Glen Allyn. Are you listening NBN?
Lammins Hill is a perfect for a tower. High, easy access, right in the middle of where service is needed. Optus is even considering putting a tower there, so is Telstra.

Nah bro, We're all only getting FTTN so on average fibre will be on average 500m away from most premises and the 'last mile' will be copper. Those closest to the node may pick up half decent speeds but the rest of us will be picking up ADSL2 speeds then down to dial-up through peak periods. Satellite will be used for seriously rural customers as the cost is obviously astronomical. Some who have been listed as satellite have had extra wireless towers installed so hang in there...

As the crow flies, I live 80kms from the Cairns CBD! Not 'seriously rural', but NBN seems to think so.

I'm seriously hoping so, but it isn't listed in the 3 year plan :(

Couldn't agree with you more! I'm shuddering at the fact that the townships themselves are getting 1 cent fibre n the tail end copper.... do yourself a favour and and read "Industry News" on the top left hand of this page..... https://delimiter.com.au/ is probably the best and most accurate source. NBNco is an absolute joke and helstra are the only winners because chances are they will end up buying the network back for bottom dollar.....
Oh boy, Telstra is loving the NBN, and they've figured out how to wring it for all its worth.
It sells its copper network to the NBN for a high price, then NBN splashes tax payer money upgrading it, then Telstra buys it back for almost nothing after NBN (inevitably) collapses.
NBN is doing Telstra's dirty work, and we're paying for it!
Trinity Beach is getting FTTN :(
Is there a way to find out your likely speed based on the fibre and copper routing?
I'm about 200m from our telephone exchange but I'm not sure this is relevant.
finally I have a connection waiting to be installed. Tuesday I got a call from Telstra saying my FTTB is ready to connect to after sitting idle on the wall completed for 6 months, I worked out what I wanted, called Telstra, left message, no call back, after noon I call Telstra again left message no call back, late Tuesday afternoon I rang optus, got someone straight away none of this bullcrap select this menu, what do you want select this menu, say what you want then get a reply saying we don't understand you say again, from automated crap, just straight to a sales rep in optus, put in an order and its getting connected 26th april.
Truck here last week with a BIG roll of black cable which is what I assume is new copper. Should have stopped and taken a photo but I was wondering why the new copper if the estate is only 10 years old?

so everyone can get off the onramp or what ever its called and have their own copper line to the nbn node maybe, who knows.

Cheers mate. I've learnt over the years it's better to ask dumb questions than to try and appear half smart. :)
But the NBN company has required additional copper to connect Telstra's existing distribution pillars with the NBN's new nodes that power faster broadband speeds over the copper network, hence the purchase of 1800 kilometres of copper.
While the NBN company is hoping to place the nodes as close as possible to the pillars to avoid high copper costs, he said this was not always possible. He said the average amount of copper needed for each node to connect to a pillar was 350 metres.

Here is an update:
http://www.zdnet.com/
While the National Broadband Network (NBN) company had originally said it would be spending AU$14 million on purchasing 1,800 kilometres of copper to last the company five months, it has now revealed that actual spend reached AU$44.2 million as of March 10.
Telstra must be laughing all the way to the bank...
4EDM-02 Expected ready for service date is now 20 May 2015
They've now changed it back to the 13th of May!
Not long now! (I hope)

was 6 months after the date my setup was done until I got connected, don't hold ya breath.

We had a hard time getting connected at my work when the FTTP was complete, so I know where you are coming from Mav, but this may be completely different.
It makes me wonder why they would change the date back to an earlier one if they are having problems. My guess is that it will be fine. Just have to wait and see.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed that..

The consensus seems to be that if you have a reasonably good and reliable ADSL2+ service now, then the switch to FTTN should bring a good result.
Let's hope the switch over is better than Perth:

and the comment by a former Telstra employee:
Though there were concerns about high-pressure workloads, Mr Thomas a former technician said his members were content at the thought of the NBN using the copper network as it meant consistent work for the foreseeable future, because of the ongoing faults and the poor state of the copper on the final journey to the home.
We have 12 to 18 months following "Ready for Service" date until the 'old' network switched off, and I am thinking that I'll probably use some of that time, to watch and see how it goes...

very wise move, I have been told the NBN is a joke here in Cairns by several people now who have recently got it, businesses with phones dropping out or full of static or not working at all and internet that does the same. I'm not looking forward to Tuesday when I'm connected. but at least it going on a phone line I rarely use and I have a second internet adsl as a backup service.

It was brilliant in an office I rented about a year ago.

I'm in Cairns and connected to FTTP last week. My phone is clear from static and my line speed is 23.83 Mbps on a 25 Mbps plan from Telstra. Thus far I haven't had a drop out... Maybe it is different in the city?
Mav is mixing up FTTN/FTTB against FTTP.... Apple's and oranges really. Those with FTTP are going to have far less issues than those still using copper... With fibre the connection is either working or not it will not face the same degradation issues copper does due to distance, condition etc (excluding and Internet provider congestion issues etc)
I will have about 8 metres of copper from the FTTB unit to my modem, so will see how it goes.
Most FTTB should be right for 100/40 as the internal wiring should be in pretty good condition so once you finally get connected mav I think you'll be very happy, as most people will be with the improvement to their speeds. Just don't skimp on selecting a quality provider or you will be bitching about how the 'NBN' sucks etc.

been there done that with ADSL about 15 years ago.
I'm going with Optus, Telstra didn't return my calls in time, took 2 days. so I decided at the end of the first day call Optus and straight away got answer and signed up. when Telstra called me back in 2 days they said their phone lines were down. Great advertisement for quality.
absolute effing joke, booked service almost 3 weeks ago, installation date is today before midday, no show, called optus up, got transferred through 4 different people and ended up I don't know where, then I get told there has been no scheduled appointment made for installation, yet optus website says its scheduled for before 12pm today, then transferred to 3 more different people,
the thing that pissed me off the most was I had to explain all my issues I'm having to EACH AND EVERY DAMN PERSON and repeat who I am where I'm from, my name, birthdate, address etc..
finally got to someone who told me that the appointment was never scheduled in the first place with the NBN to begin with, someone forgot to put it through.
after 57 minutes on the phone I have to wait until the 4th of damn may now.
will see what happens, I'm no longer holding my breath, I have been screwed around that much by the NBN I'm just getting used to it.
Move home :)
But not to Holloways
